Charlie's First Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving this year we spent two days hanging out with both our families and some friends from Iowa, the Grabinskis, over at Grandma and Grandpa Duff's house. Charlie has been there before...but never for so long and usually not with so much excitement. He is really used to being home all the time. (Usually in just one of two rooms with the oxygen tanks!) He was charming and sweet but way off schedule! These pictures tell the tale: he alternated between over-stimulated and super conked-out all day long. He never did take a decent nap or eat right! All in all it was great to be "stuck" at the house. We played Wii, read and watched movies along with eating all the yummy food. We had a two grandma to one grandbaby ratio which meant Chuckie and I really got to relax! I loved having our baby be a part of the holidays. It was the sort of thing you dream of when you think about having a child and I am so glad that our dreams came true!Charlie in his Thanksgiving pjs...it was a little too warm this year!

Looking a little dazed, but enjoying Grammy's lap.

Very excited about the dogs running around!

tired but NOT sleepy...

overstimulated...

but fighting sleep...doesn't want to miss out on any fun with Grandma...

That's awesome that Charlie was able to "get out" and celebrate Thanksgiving with your families! He is such a cutie. Kids do make holidays so much more fun, don't they?!?!?
